Highlights of this concert season '06-'07.
| October was the start of an important new collaboration with string
quartet "Quatuor Thais"
from Brussels. For Flanders' Festival in Mechelen, they performed together
with keyboard player Guy Penson in a program of early contemporary (in this
case also very tonal) recorder music. Composers like L. Berkeley, G. Jacob,
W. Leigh, Y. Bowen, E. Rubbra. Pretty unique about this concert was also the
use of historic keyboard instruments like a late 18th C Bechstein, and a
1950's German harpsichord. This collaboration results in a couple new
concert programs offered for the season '07-'08. |
| The ensemble Sospiri Ardenti will be
focusing on two of their most popular programs: 'The
Nightingale', a fairy tale opera on a story by Hans Christian Andersen for
the whole family. Another
program performed this season is Love and
Magic with Shakespeare, being their first acclaimed scenic program,
still loved by all audiences. This program will be recorded in January 07, and
the two programs are scheduled to be performed during a German tour in June. |
| Quadrivium is
concentrating on their innovative program "La
Cause est Amer" with concerts in Holland (winter and fall). Since
its premiere, a multimedia power point is added to further deepen the
atmosphere. This program is scheduled for a CD recording in September
. |
| In the course of the season '05-'06, 4 CD recordings were finished. Two
Bach solo CD's, one with Bill Taylor on
bray harp/clarsach, and one with Jurgen De bruyn
on archlute/baroque guitar. You can listen to some excerpts from these
recordings on the different program pages (check the links to listen, or go
directly to the download section to download them for free! HINT: better
take advantage of this, because I don't know how long we will be able to
keep this up!!!) |

We will keep you posted on the progress on that, on this page. The links
below (with the X) will give you an idea of what they sound like!
Future projects for 2007 are scheduled with Sospiri
Ardenti (Love and

(La Cause est
Amer). Solo recording projects in 2007 are yet to be scheduled (they will
be!!)
